The Boy Scouts of America are known for “youth with programs and activities that allow them to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence and reinforce ethical standards.”
Each year one such activity is “Scouting for Food” drive which helps local food pantries. The timing is critical each February as many pantries inventory are lower having met the needs over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
Next time you see a Scout thank them for what they do. Support the food drive by filling bags and making them available for pick up on the prescribed Saturday each year.
You will not only be helping a Scout but you will be helping your community.
