How to Get Involved
Crisis Ministries can use you as a volunteer or to provide items in short supply. However you can assist is appreciated as we serve those struggling with basic needs.

Volunteer
We have different ways you can volunteer. Please let us know who, how and when. Choose either “Individual” or “Group” and we will contact you. Thanks for considering Crisis Ministries as a place to serve the community.

Donate Needed Food Items
You can donate any non-perishable item during regular hours. We also welcome individuals or groups to have food drives.
There are usually various needs depending on the time of year. Since most items we can obtain for a low distribution fee through the North Texas Food Bank, we like to suggest items we cannot find in their inventory. A sample list is below but you can always contact us.
- Jelly
- Condiments (Mayonnaise, Ketchup, Mustard)
- Meal helpers like Hamburger or Tuna Helper
- Meal sides like instant flavored rice/pasta dishes, stuffing, instant potatoes.
- Shampoo
- Toothpaste
- Deodorant
If you or a group would like to create blessing/road warrior bags please refer to this list of suggested items.
Clothing and Household Items
Through our collaboration with Irving Thrift you can donate clothing and household items. Irving Thrift is a separate non-profit, located at 2310 Rock Island Rd., Irving, Texas 75060. Crisis Ministries benefits monthly from all sales. Funds will be used to help families with rent and utilities.
